How to help with our mission
We are in need of monetary donations to achieve our goal of hiring a physician at the Seghe Hospital. Unfortunately the Solomon Islands ranks last in the world with respect to the wages earned by a government employed physician. For this reason, we know we will be able to afford to pay our own physician, but we need your help to do so.
Imagine a hospital that was built in 2000 that serves 30,000 people that has never had a full-time doctor. The local nurses who have worked at the hospital have done an excellent job in providing the best health care they know how. It is time for us to take the level of health care, available on a day to day basis, to the next level by employing a full-time physician at Seghe. Please help us to achieve this goal.
All monetary donations are tax deductible through Marovo Medical Foundation. All medical and solar team members are paying their own travel costs of approximately $5,000 each to participate.
